Job description
We are currently seeking an entry level Quality Inspector. This position is responsible for manually inspecting and recording dimensions and requirements of items fabricated in D-J Engineering’s Tooling Shop. Being an entry level position, on the job training will be provided to gain all of the relevant skills for the position.
This position has opportunity for advancement into a Laser Tracker Operator and also a CMM Operator should the individual demonstrate the drive and ability to learn those applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
– Use of manual inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and more.
– Use of MS Office. Specifically, MS Word and MS Excel.
– Interpret customer PO’s, engineering drawings, parts lists, 2D drawings, 3D models, bill of materials, process specifications, and other related engineering documentation for requirements associated with the fabrication of tools.
– Maintain inspection records for all previous projects.
– Coordinate effort with and participate on other teams as requested.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
– Excellent PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
– Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with multiple priorities and a fast-paced environment.
– Must have color perception, near vision of Jaeger No.1 at 12 inches, and far vision of 20/30 or better.
Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:
– Machine Shop Experience.
– Reading and interpreting blue prints.
– Quality Assurance related experience.
– Technical certificate or degree from reputable source.
Schedule: 6am-430pm or 7am-530pm, Monday – Friday.
