DJ Engineering has recently developed a wood shop to support our shipping departments. The Carpenter will be responsible for fabricating mainly shipping crates and pallets to ship aerospace parts and tools.
Responsibilities:
· Using equipment such as table saws, miter saws, circular saws, pneumatic staplers/nailers, hand tools, tape measures, etc.
· Fabricating crates ranging from hand held size to large shipping container size.
· Reading blue prints to meet customer requirements.
· Lifting and moving lumber up to 50 lbs.
· Periodic maintenance of the wood shop equipment.
· Complete other duties around the shop as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
· Ability to work flexible hours including weekends when needed.
· Candidate must show strong work ethic a dedication to quality.
· Candidates must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
· Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to work in a very fast paced environment.

Other Qualifications:
Preference shown to candidates who have experience in and/or working knowledge of:
- Carpentry or general wood working
- The aerospace industry.
Schedule: 4pm-2:30am Sunday – Thursday
